Sub-Zero repair in Willo
Historic-district brick and tudor houses, remodelled kitchens running on hard city water.
Willo runs on hard city water and it shows up in the ice first: scale in the mould, a filter long past its date, production sliding from a full bin to a handful of cubes. The brick and tudor houses here hold heat well into the evening, which keeps a condenser working long after sunset.

Production had dropped to a handful of cubes a day and I had written the maker off. Scale from our hard water had packed around the mould and the filter was still the original. Both handled, though he came late in the window.

No ice for a week and the reset in the booklet did nothing at all. He checked the water side first, then found the module seized. Swapped it and stayed for the first batch to drop.

Our wine cabinet started tripping the breaker in the utility room. The compressor was pulling far too much current at startup because the start capacitor had gone. Replaced, tested twice, no trips since.
